Some of you guys are so hardcore. You guys are checking for the chapters before I’m even posting them! Anyhow, Chapter 239 and 240 are now released as c and d.

I finally experienced the saying, “When times get rough, people will leave you.” The sad thing is, it’s not even that rough. It’s only typing an extra /a, /b, /c etc… and hitting enter. That’s already enough for more than half my readers to abandon me. Wow.

I was really upset earlier because I felt so hurt and angry. Some readers feel that my method is ruining their reading experience. As a result, they’re so frustrated that they’re going to read on aggregator sites.

I’m so angry because in my mind, I’m thinking, I’ve spent SIX HUNDRED HOURS on this. What have you done for me? I understand if they’re my boss and I’m not doing my job well. But you didn’t hire me. You didn’t pay me. (If you have donated/pledged to me, thank you <3   I’m not talking about you guys). Let’s say you happened to help me click on a few ads and spent 10 hours reading this novel (or however long you took), I’ve still given you much more than you have given me.

The only reason why I’m using this method is because all these sites won’t stop stealing my translations. You know, I actually managed to trick readlightnovel from 230-233. But I gave into pressure and added all the NEXT buttons since there were so many complaints. And now, they are stealing everything again.

So, I don’t care anymore. If you don’t want to read this novel, then stop. I’m not going to beg you to stay.

Why should I keep working so hard to translate for you ungrateful people? You haven’t done anything for me yet you expect so much. Even when I get no money or financial support from anyone, I still translate a minimum of 3 chapters a week.

I have to pay for this site to keep it running too. You may say, “Well, that’s your choice. No one is making you do it.” Yes, it’s my choice…but at least show some appreciation. I know a lot of my readers cannot financially support me, but at least they leave me encouraging comments and reviews. Or, some of them would draw wonderful pictures for me (you can see it on my instagram @grace7127). Or perhaps, they turn off adblock and write a good review.

I’m not saying you cannot complain if you’re dissatisfied. But when you threaten or decide to read elsewhere because a few extra seconds is too much work, you only make me want to quit.

可以 = can/could

You can type it by typing “ke yi” on the pinyin keyboard. However, these characters can be separated and combined with different characters to mean different things. But 可以 is a very common and useful word you guys should learn.

我可以走了 = I can go now
我 = I
可以 = can
走 = go (or run, depending on context)
了 = indicates the action is already finished or how you’re feeling at that moment

You can type 走 by typing “zou” in the pinyin keyboard.

我们走了 = We’re leaving now OR we’ll be leaving now
我们 = me+my group/us/we (there is no difference in Chinese)

If you add the word 要 (want/need), then it would be 我们要走了 = we have to go now

As you can see, Chinese is very different from English. If you want to add the time, it comes right after the subject.

我们今天要走了= my group and I today need go (literal translation) = we have to leave today

今天 = today (you can type it by typing “jin tian” on the pinyin keyboard)

Please note that 天 on its own could mean sky or heaven (depending on context)

I know it may seem very confusing for some of you, but once you learn Chinese grammar, it’s super easy. It is much easier compared to English because there are no conjugations in Chinese. It’s also easier than all the languages that have feminine and masculine components. I remember when I was learning French (It’s mandatory in Canada for a few years…sadly I learnt nothing because we never use it outside of school. It was almost all memorization.) I couldn’t understand why a pencil was “le crayon” (masculine) but a pen was feminine. Who decides what’s feminine and masculine? So yeah, I think Chinese grammar is one of the easiest. It’s like caveman language. Haha. But the vocabulary is hard and you need to memorize a lot of characters.

This time, 230+3 is located on CHAPTER 97 OF THE ANNOUNCEMENT POST.

So when you click on 97, you’ll see it when you scroll down. I linked it as Eating with Xiao Mu Zi.

If you’re still confused, I don’t know how to help you. I can’t link it here since the bots will steal it right away. I’ve tried so many different methods and this seem to be the most effective so far.

The programmer will not be able to predict which announcement posts I’m putting the chapters on, so he/she cannot program around it. If they want to steal, they will have to manually find a person to read all of this to figure it out.

Another translator named Xing also contacted me because he/she is sooooo upset that readlightnovel has such sophisticated bots that steal our work. He/she translates a novel called, “Rock Sugar and Pear Stew” There are only 4 chapters out so far, but it’s such a cute story. I think you guys will like it! The female MC bullies the male MC as a child! I’ll promote this novel after there are more releases. It’s so addictive!

Anyhow, thank you to all of you who participated in the ‘contest’. lol it’s not really a contest but a way for you guys to win chapters.

I’m going to link the fanfic that Mango had written!! Mango actually wrote over a thousand words. Haha. It’s in Dongfang Bai’s perspective and very funny. :P.. he uses a lot of Japanese terms that I have never heard of (since I don’t watch anime), but I did some google search and found out what yandere means 😛 I hope you guys will also check it out!

I’m not sure if my method is working but I’ll find out in a few days. (Sometimes, the bots do delayed theft). Anyhow, there’s still around 1.5 hours left for the contest but I highly doubt I’ll be receiving any new submissions.

As for right now, I have 7 artwork submissions, 1 fanfic and 1 recording!! Although it’s less than what I had hoped for, I’m really happy that you guys have put so much effort into your work. Thank you to you all!!!

Initially, I said I would give 20 points if you guys could get me 300 LIKES on fb. Currently, I have 241. Since we didn’t meet my target but you guys still tried, I’ll give 15 points.

As for reviews, I had 4 for SG in June, and 9 new ones (facebook + novelupdates). That is a total of 13 points!!
