Anyhow, I have something I want to say. Recently, a reader has given me a one star rating because she/he states that I do not release chapters but only write about what I want to say (This is on facebook). First of all, I have already posted 212 chapters. If you only see my announcement posts and not the link to the chapter itself, it’s because you’re reading on a site that has stolen my translations.

If you’re not reading on theeunuch dot com, then you’re probably not going to be able to read the chapter. I have already spent 600 hours translating this project and I do not want anyone copying and pasting my translations ANYWHERE. If you can’t accept that, then don’t read it.

If I was working under you, or you were my boss, that’s different. But you do not pay me for any of the time I have spent doing this. Please stop being such an entitled person. I am already letting everyone read this for free. If I put all my chapters on patreon, the aggregator sites wouldn’t be able to copy. But I have decided to let everyone read this anyway so that’s why I deliberately write such a long announcement post so that the bots can steal this first (since they will assume it’s the chapter itself). It’s not because I like to tell you guys my entire life story and I have nothing better to do.

Anyhow, today I’m going to release 2 chapters! Chapter 214 will be the bonus chapter because of Yuuko. I still owe 4 chapters so I should hurry up and release them soon. After I release these two chapters, I’ll owe her 3 chapters. lol (I will eventually get to it)

I know each chapter feels like it goes by so fast, but please understand it takes me 30 minutes just to edit the Chinese before I can even begin to translate it. Each chapter takes me hours of work and I can’t just pop them out with a snap of finger. All you need to know that I’ll finish the novel. I won’t drop the project. You just have to be patient. If I promise I’ll do it, I’ll do it.

P.S. I do read all your comments but I’m way too busy to respond to each one and I feel bad if I reply to one person but not the other so I just don’t answer anyone unless it’s very important.

To my dear readers,

I just came back from a wedding!! One of the friends I’ve known for 20+ years just got married!! Anyhow, I was going to post this chapter 24 hours from now but I know a lot of you are waiting patiently, so I decided to post it tonight!

I would like to thank Corshade for becoming my patron! Thank you for choosing to support me! I really do appreciate any amount of support. It makes a huge difference. (Imagine if I have 100 patrons! Even if all of them pledge $1, that’s $100!!!!!!!! *Now I just need 100 patrons :P) Haha

This announcement post is going to be long because I’m running out of blog posts to link. I have more but they’re too short, and the bots only steal if it’s at least 500 words. So, I’m just going to type a lot right now.

A few of you actually suggested me to join qidian (this is over a course of 6 months). While it is great to be paid per chapter, I would also lose a lot of freedom. There are pros and cons but for now, I have no intentions of joining qidian. Some of their business tactics really turn me off. They only care about profits!

For example, Wuxiaworld paid money for the rights to host their novels but qidian suddenly decided to “dual host” for the readers’ benefit. That is sooooo BULLSHIT. They just want to steal their readership. Guys, if you’re wondering why I hate aggregators so much, it’s because we get paid based on VIEWS!!!!! Like youtube, on volare and ww, we get a certain amount PER THOUSAND views. So, the translators suffer tremendously when you choose to read elsewhere aside from the original source (On my site is different because it highly depends on clicks lol. It can go from a few pennies to a few dollars a day).

Youtubers may get $1 for every thousand views but we get far less. Unless you’re a popular translator/your novel is popular, you’re pretty much making nothing lol.

Anyhow, there’s more about qidian but it’ll take too long for me to tell you guys all the nitty-gritty.

Instead, I’m going to promote one of my colleague’s work from volare! His name is Jimmi and he translates Reigh of the Hunters!!

Surprise! I bet you didn’t expect a chapter today! 😛  Ohhhh before I go any further, I would like to thank G for becoming my patron! G is actually iamthefunny. He started off commenting on my volare creative posts. I often teased him and said he is not funny LOL. But whenever he starts reading my translations, I would say he is funny again. (I know, I’m terrible). Eventually, he read “Supernatural Girlfriend” because of my shameless promotion. Then afterwards, he read “Your Highness, I know my wrongs“! And now, he’s reading “The Eunuch is Pregnant”!

He just started so he hasn’t really gotten to the dirty dirty scenes. I am actually curious to see how he would react. =D Thank you so much for supporting me! (and thank you to all my readers, donors, pledgers, and commenters <3 )

Speaking of which, I’m so addicted to TMR. TMR stands for Transmigrator Meets Reincarnator. It is being translated by my good friend timebun!!! For those of you who haven’t read it yet, you should give it a try! IT IS SO FREAKING GOOD. I read 100 chapters today! Ahhhhhhhhh. Currently, I’m on chapter 233. (I had stopped reading for 6 months.)

Anyway, timebun has one of the best translations I know. She is more pro than me. I’m pretty sure both her Chinese and English surpasses mines. But that’s ok. I’m really happy her novel is so popular!!! Basically, the novel is about a girl who transmigrates into a character she read from a novel (SOUNDS LIKE Doomed to be Cannon Fodder, RIGHT????) But the guy (her husband) is actually a reincarnator and hates her guts because she cheated on him in his past life.

Chu Lian (the female MC) read half the novel so she kind of knows what happens. She knew she was a cheater and she is trying to change history this time. As for He Sanlang (the male MC), he thinks he knows exactly what will happen as well since he had already been through it. So now, we have TWO people who thinks they know the future. It is SOOOO FREAKIN GOODDDDDDDDD.

Changing the url didn’t help. My translations are still being stolen. Sigh. So sad.

Anyhow, the link I included in the previous announcement post is the raws that I use to translate (the link doesn’t work anymore so I removed it). A few readers msged me and said that it’s very different from my translations. The reason is because I edit the raws before I translate it. Since I’m not translating line by line, it’s not going to be the same.

Out of all the novels I have translated, this is the one that has the worse writing. I actually have to edit it or else I’m going to get even more 1 star ratings on NU *cries*. The story line is addictive but the writing is awful. I know I always complain about the writing but if you read the raws and know how much editing I do to give you guys what you get, you’ll understand why.

Since Chinese is so different from English, the way a translator translates can vary drastically. This basically means that if any other translator were to translate this novel, it’ll definitely be veryyyy different.

So, you’re stuck with me if you have patience to wait. OR you can use google in the meantime. (Or if you want someone else to translate it, you can beg them but I’m pretty sure no one will want to unless you pay them).

Anyhow, translating has its ups and down and right now it’s a down cycle for me. Hopefully it will improve.

You guys need to calm down!!!! I see all your comments and I know you’re dying but please understand it takes me a long long time to translate!!! First, I have to read the Chinese raws. Then, I go through it to make edits. Then, I go through it AGAIN to make edits. Then, I start translating. Then, I have to edit my translations because sometimes it sounds too Chinese and the sentence structure doesn’t make sense. Then, I have to go through it again to make more edits. It takes A LONG LONG LONG LONG TIME. I can’t just snap my finger and out pop a chapter.

Anyhow, if you are dying too much, just read the raws with google translate. I’m in the middle of 155 right now. I’ve linked it to you multiple times but here’s the link again in case you haven’t seen it.

Note: My version is different from the raws because I edit and improvise A LOT. But it’s still from the same novel so whatever that happens in my translations does happen in the novel.
