Update: This method failed. The bots are too smart. They figured out which one was real. I am actually better off linking one post and then linking the real chapter after. Both novelonlinefree and novelplanet stole my actual chapter 220 despite making the url completely unrelated to the chapter itself (and no title).

In the future, I’ll just link one post and post the chapter a few hours later.

Sorry for the late chapter post. I’ve been sooooo busy! Although SG is completed, we are in the process of editing it with a professional editor. So now, I also have to go through hundreds of edits a day + fix the chapters to the best of my abilities before sending it to the editor! Ahhhhh.

Everything takes forever because each chapter has around 1300-2000 English words. -_-”

Anyhow, the Chinese raw chapters for the eunuch is also getting harder and harder to edit. I am trying to save the novel as much as I can. It makes me happy when some of you still think it’s good (lol you have no idea what I am reading on my side). My brain is so fried these days! But don’t worry, you’ll get your 5 chapters this week (3 regular, 1 I owed for Yuuko and another for my patrons!) This is the first one of this week.

I’ll translate some more tomorrow.

By the way, some of you suggested that I use a different site (perhaps livejournal?) Some people have also asked me to host on wattpad as well. The thing is, I paid for this domain and site. I’m not going to go somewhere else or post somewhere else so less people will come to this site. I need all the traffic I can get!

Another reason is because I need ad revenue. It was quite difficult to get approved by adsense and not all sites let you use adsense unless you use their private plans (I’ve used livejournal before and it was free. I’m talking about 10 years ago lol. But I think it’s still free.)

I used to use the free wordpress but I got banned from ads (at the time, I used wordads. They thought the eunuch is pregnant was inappropriate and banned me despite NO BIRDS AT THE TIME). Free wordpress does not allow users to use other ad platforms. It simply won’t work.

Technically, if I stop linking my content to novelupdates, the bots might steal less. But I need the traffic from novelupdates since most of you guys come from there.

So, in the end, only posting on patreon stops the bots since they won’t pay to steal. If you know of any other method, please comment and let me know.

I’ve tried:
1. changing the url of my chapter to make it unpredictable
2. disabling copy and paste/right click on desktop/laptop
3. taking a picture of my translations and posting it instead (some site steals all images)
4. confusing the bots by making them assume this is the chapter instead of posting the actual chapter (this is the most effective so far)
5. delayed post
6. using google translate and posting a fake chapter to trick them (but then you guys go nuts)
7. using passwords (they don’t work even though I thought they would)
8. not linking the chapter but posting the chapter on another page

So far, they all failed. But sometimes, I can trick some sites by using #4. That is why I’m still writing such long announcement posts. Some of you guys realized you were reading on an aggregator site after seeing all my rants. Thank you so much for reading on my site.

Anyway, if you can think of another method, please feel free to comment. I also need step by step instructions because I’m very bad with technology. (To give you an idea, I had to google how to turn off an iphone)

Lastly, I’ll try to finish this novel by chapter 300. I hope I’ll be able to but some chapters have 13000 words. I do try to get rid of unnecessary stuff but I also worry if I remove too much. I could summarize each chapter in 3 sentences *sigh*

This means that I won’t be linking the chapter in this post later. I’m going to post it on another page (but you’ll be able to access it by clicking next from 215 laterrrrrrrr *not now so don’t do it yet. Try in an hour or something). I want to make sure novelplanet and the other sites steal this first.

It’s actually a lot of work trying to trick the bots. But that’s what I have to do if I don’t want my translations to be stolen. Sigh.

Thirdly, I’m going to release another chapter later for my patrons. So, you guys will have 2 chapters today. I still owe Yuuko 3 chapters. This means, for the next little while, you’ll be getting 5 chapters a week (or more if I can handle it). But right now, the editing is melting my brain (so don’t expect more than 5 chapters).

Fourthly, it is too time consuming to teach you guys Chinese every post. But from time to time, I’ll teach you guys something. Today, I’ll teach you a few more words.

她 = she

的 = possession/’s (there are exceptions but for now I’m teaching you guys the simple stuff)

You can type 她 and 他 by typing “ta” on the pinyin keyboard. 她她她她她 他他他他他

我的 = my

你的 = your

他的 = his

她的 = her

So, whenever you see ______的_______. It means “something’s something.”

Mary 的 house = Mary’s house

我的 readers = my readers

You can type 的 by typing “de” on the pinyin keyboard. 的的的的的 (Sometimes, you’ll see 的 at the end of a sentence/phrase. That’s something else.)

In Chinese, we always start with the subject first. So, that means it’s either a person’s name/he/she/I/you etc…

我 = I

你 = you

来 = come

了 = already (the action has already taken place)

So, 我来了 = I’m here

If you translate it directly, it’s “I come already”

Naturally, if you want to say you’re here, it’s 你来了

So, remember these words! You can type it by using the pinyin keyboard. You can type 我 by typing “wo”, 你 “ni”, 来 “lai”, 了 “le”

Practice makes perfect! 我我我我我 你你你你你 来来来来来 了了了了了

Good job! See? Chinese isn’t THATTTTT hard. You need to increase your vocabulary and eventually, you’ll be able to read!! It’s never too late to learn. Believe in yourself. If you’re determined and you learn a few words a day, you’ll be able to read in a few years! It’s all about consistency, hard work, and determination.

If I was working under you, or you were my boss, that’s different. But you do not pay me for any of the time I have spent doing this. Please stop being such an entitled person. I am already letting everyone read this for free. If I put all my chapters on patreon, the aggregator sites wouldn’t be able to copy. But I have decided to let everyone read this anyway so that’s why I deliberately write such a long announcement post so that the bots can steal this first (since they will assume it’s the chapter itself). It’s not because I like to tell you guys my entire life story and I have nothing better to do.

Anyhow, today I’m going to release 2 chapters! Chapter 214 will be the bonus chapter because of Yuuko. I still owe 4 chapters so I should hurry up and release them soon. After I release these two chapters, I’ll owe her 3 chapters. lol (I will eventually get to it)

I know each chapter feels like it goes by so fast, but please understand it takes me 30 minutes just to edit the Chinese before I can even begin to translate it. Each chapter takes me hours of work and I can’t just pop them out with a snap of finger. All you need to know that I’ll finish the novel. I won’t drop the project. You just have to be patient. If I promise I’ll do it, I’ll do it.

I just came back from a wedding!! One of the friends I’ve known for 20+ years just got married!! Anyhow, I was going to post this chapter 24 hours from now but I know a lot of you are waiting patiently, so I decided to post it tonight!

This announcement post is going to be long because I’m running out of blog posts to link. I have more but they’re too short, and the bots only steal if it’s at least 500 words. So, I’m just going to type a lot right now.

A few of you actually suggested me to join qidian (this is over a course of 6 months). While it is great to be paid per chapter, I would also lose a lot of freedom. There are pros and cons but for now, I have no intentions of joining qidian. Some of their business tactics really turn me off. They only care about profits!

For example, Wuxiaworld paid money for the rights to host their novels but qidian suddenly decided to “dual host” for the readers’ benefit. That is sooooo BULLSHIT. They just want to steal their readership. Guys, if you’re wondering why I hate aggregators so much, it’s because we get paid based on VIEWS!!!!! Like youtube, on volare and ww, we get a certain amount PER THOUSAND views. So, the translators suffer tremendously when you choose to read elsewhere aside from the original source (On my site is different because it highly depends on clicks lol. It can go from a few pennies to a few dollars a day).

Youtubers may get $1 for every thousand views but we get far less. Unless you’re a popular translator/your novel is popular, you’re pretty much making nothing lol.

Anyhow, there’s more about qidian but it’ll take too long for me to tell you guys all the nitty-gritty.

Instead, I’m going to promote one of my colleague’s work from volare! His name is Jimmi and he translates Reigh of the Hunters!!

(I know, I’m terrible). Eventually, he read “Supernatural Girlfriend” because of my shameless promotion. Then afterwards, he read “Your Highness, I know my wrongs“! And now, he’s reading “The Eunuch is Pregnant”!

Speaking of which, I’m so addicted to TMR. TMR stands for Transmigrator Meets Reincarnator. It is being translated by my good friend timebun!!! For those of you who haven’t read it yet, you should give it a try! IT IS SO FREAKING GOOD. I read 100 chapters today! Ahhhhhhhhh. Currently, I’m on chapter 233. (I had stopped reading for 6 months.)

Anyway, timebun has one of the best translations I know. She is more pro than me. I’m pretty sure both her Chinese and English surpasses mines. But that’s ok. I’m really happy her novel is so popular!!! Basically, the novel is about a girl who transmigrates into a character she read from a novel (SOUNDS LIKE Doomed to be Cannon Fodder, RIGHT????) But the guy (her husband) is actually a reincarnator and hates her guts because she cheated on him in his past life.

Chu Lian (the female MC) read half the novel so she kind of knows what happens. She knew she was a cheater and she is trying to change history this time. As for He Sanlang (the male MC), he thinks he knows exactly what will happen as well since he had already been through it. So now, we have TWO people who thinks they know the future. It is SOOOO FREAKIN GOODDDDDDDDD.
