Wow, we’re finally at Chapter 200!!! We’re around chapter 150 of the raws right now. There’s still a long way to go.

Anyhow, I would like to thank Jenny and Amanda for becoming my patrons. As of right now, readlightnovel still has not stolen anything since 197. However, novelplanet and novelonlinefree are still able to bypass the password. I’m going to keep the password for another few days and see. If it’s ineffective, I will remove them and try to think of something else. It’s really depressing because I spend so many hours and brain cells translating this novel but so many sites keep stealing/copying my work.

Sorry, this chapter is a bit late. I was supposed to release last night but couldn’t finish on time. The novel is getting so draggy that it’s killing my brain cells. Although I love the novel, the author really needs to stop wasting time & bullshitting so much! UGHHHHHHHHH!

Anyhow, I’ve tried to shorten it as much as I could. The original raws were so bad that I felt my brain was going to rot. (You can read it with google translate if you go to the previous announcement post). I think I fit the rest of 148 and 149 of the raws in this chapter). It will be released later.

I’ve noticed that you’ve been continuously asking me to translate “Hidden Marriage” (at least 3 times on separate chapters). I have replied multiple times to you but I don’t think you actually see the responses (Or else you wouldn’t keep asking).

1. Timebun dropped Hidden Marriage because it is a Qidian novel. Qidian has the rights to the novels and it is being translated by their own translators.

2. There are already 1000 chapters released. You can read it https://www.novelupdates.com/series/hidden-marriage/

3. The reason why Qidian is able to release so quickly is because they’re paying their translators per chapter. For example, $30 or $40 USD per chapter.

4. Please do not ask me to translate anything else unless you’re willing to hire me. I don’t get paid for my time (I’ve already voluntarily spent 500 hours on The Eunuch is Pregnant). I do get donations, pledges and ad revenue, but after you factor in how much time I spend on it, after a year later, it’s like $2 an hour (that’s not even enough to take the bus).

Would you translate 1000+ words if it takes you 3 hours and you might potentially get $6 after accumulating for a year? (nothing is guaranteed)

When you’re super motivated at the beginning, it’s easy because you feel like you’re unstoppable. However, I assure you…it takes a lot of willpower just to get to 100 chapters.

5. Don’t worry, I still plan on finishing what I started. It just takes a long time because I really lack brain cells and translating is very hard. I also have to edit the Chinese raws, so it takes forever.
